THESE DAYS, EVERYONE HAS A GREAT CAMERA.

Yep. Whether you have a fancy DSLR* or not, I’m betting that you have a great camera. Everyone does, on their phone.

This proves that more often than not, the cause of bad pictures is NOT due to the camera. It’s due to not having learned how to see.

What I've learned in my process, is that not until you understand the basics of exposure and composition, can you take better pictures. It won't matter how expensive your gear is or how many buttons your camera has.

IN MY CLASS YOU WILL LEARN HOW TO SEE

After this class, your photography will improve dramatically. Even just by touching the trigger. You’ll learn:

  • Need to know rules of composition

  • How to work with natural light

  • How to capture portraits

  • How to tell stories with your images

  • How to prevent "blurry" images

  • And you’ll have a chance to get hands on shooting with guided instruction

YOU WILL LEARN HOW TO CAPTURE MOMENTS

Capturing memorable pictures is all about conveying emotions. Either your own, or the subject's.  With clear examples that take you behind the shot, you’ll learn how to do that.

YOU WILL LEARN HOW TO TAKE PICTURES YOU’LL BE EXCITED TO FRAME

There's nothing like having your own images printed & framed. Even your phone can take print-quality pictures. Once you see the world through your new eyes, you’ll understand how to take pictures you’ll be excited to frame!

YOU’LL UNDERSTAND "BLUR", WHEN TO USE IT, WHEN TO LOSE IT

How to prevent blurry shots is one of the questions I get asked most. Especially by DSLR* students. After this class, you'll know how to avoid it and even how to use it creatively. By learning about lighting and exposure, you'll also learn how to prevent other common mistakes.

* DSLR = digital single-lens reflex. Or in plain speak, a digital camera with interchangeable lens ;)
